A nuestras Hermanas Franciscanas con
nosotros, te deseamos un día alegre como celebramos a esta mujer maravillosa de
sencillez y de fe. Santa Clara continúa siendo un modelo de discipulado
cristiano en la iglesia a lo largo de las edades del bendito y maravilloso.
Haber ido a una escuela dirigida por los Franciscanos, la presencia y la
intercesión de Santa Clara en mi vida ha sido una bendición y gracia.
Uno de sus escritos ha sido una fuente
de contemplación continua para mí durante los años, así como una fuente de
inspiración para el ministerio. Pido que tomemos unos momentos de reflexión
sobre este gran llamado a la oración:
¡Coloque la cabeza ante el espejo de la eternidad!
¡Ponga su alma en el esplendor de la gloria!
Ponga su corazón en la figura de la sustancia divina.
Y transformar su ser entero en la imagen
de la divinidad a través de la contemplación.
Para que usted también puede sentir lo que sienten sus amigos
como saben la dulzura escondida
Dios mismo ha reservado desde el principio
para aquellos que lo aman.

our Franciscan sisters with us, we wish you a joyful day as we celebrate this
wonderful woman of simplicity and faith. Saint Clare continues to be a blessed
and wonderful model of Christian discipleship in the Church throughout the
ages. Having gone to a high school run by Franciscans, the presence and
intercession of Saint Clare in my life has been a blessing and grace.
One
of her writings has been a source of continual contemplation for me over the
years, as well as a source of inspiration for ministry. I would ask that we
take a few moments of reflection upon this great call to prayer:
Place
your mind before the mirror of eternity!
Place your soul in the brilliance of glory!
Place your heart in the figure of the divine substance!
And transform your entire being into the image
of the Godhead Itself through contemplation.
So that you too may feel what His friends feel
as they taste the hidden sweetness
that God Himself has reserved from the beginning
for those who love Him.
